For no special occasion, I'm wearing a great tie that hasn't been seen in two years. It was a birthday present from grandson Nate in 2017. Its orange, yellow and dark blue colors blend into a very nice plaid.

Today (13 November) is World Kindness Day. In honor of Mister Rogers' exemplary kindness, station WQED in Pittsburgh designates this as WQED Cardigan Day -- matching the birthday of King Friday XIII in the Kingdom of Make-Believe. So I'm wearing my own cardigan and a kindly plaid tie. Its orange stripes and my orange shirt (and my orange hair tie) are helping me celebrate Orange Day (tomorrow) on the French Republican Calendar. It's a beautiful day in our neighborhood and a great day to be kind to others.

My blue-orange-yellow-diagonal-plaid tie today was a birthday gift to me two years ago from grandson Nathanael David Howland Kleppinger, who was two years old at the time. I understand that he was at the local Goodwill store and chose this tie for Papa Seeds. I'm wearing it today because we are going out together for lunch -- which will be at McDonald's® -- followed by a bit of shopping for a book or something that Nate would like.

Happy First Birthday, Paul Robert Wallace Kleppinger! We had a family celebration on Sunday, but I also wanted to see him on the official day (today). I'm wearing a tie that was given to me by his brother Nate on my own birthday in August. Paul is crawling everywhere, and happily using his own words. About two months ago he learned how to clap and to make us all clap with him!
