1 July 25 #2

Today's second tie (very peculiar!) celebrates the birthday of Indiana Jones! According to authoritative legendary sources, famed archaeologist-explorer Dr. Henry Walton "Indiana" Jones, Jr. was born on 1 July 1899. I'm taking this opportunity to display this treasure of a tie featuring images from the "Temple of Doom" and other movies in the Indiana Jones series! It was originally in the wardrobe of Dr. Richard Day, comrade at Eastern Kentucky University.

Belated Birthday Greetings to Richard Day, comrade and education professor at Eastern Kentucky University. Last year he gave me a nice set of neckties from his wardrobe, which he wore primarily in his earlier career as an elementary school principal. This one features scenes from the Indiana Jones stories, and it is especially appropriate at this time as he embarks on his own new adventures in retirement!

29 June - 1 July 23

Famed archaeologist/intrepid explorer "Indiana Jones" was born on 1 July 1899, according to the authoritative historical records at the Indiana Jones fan site and in Wikipedia. The latest episode in the Indiana Jones saga, "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny," is being released on Friday, 30 June 2023. To honor this amazing coincidence, I'm wearing my own Indiana Jones tie, featuring images from several other adventures! (This tie came to me from the collection of EKU comrade Dr. Richard Day.)

19 January 23

According to authoritative legendary sources, famed archaeologist Dr. Henry Walton "Indiana" Jones, Jr. was born on 1 July 1899. That date falls on Saturday this year, and since I have no special occasions for today, I'm taking this opportunity to display this treasure of a tie featuring images from the "Temple of Doom" and other movies in the Indiana Jones series! I collected it recently from the wardrobe archives of Dr. Richard Day, co-adventurer at Eastern Kentucky University.
