Today's special event is delivering Valentine's Day cookies to members of Berea Home Village. My tie shows red hearts and Hershey's Kisses! BHV's mission is to help older Bereans thrive at home, enabling them to live independently. My own volunteer role is serving as the administrator for the database software that tracks everything that other people do!
For Valentine's Day I wore my tie featuring Hershey's Kisses® and red hearts. More significantly, it marked 49 years since Beth agreed to marry me! We were sitting together on a couch at Houghton College when I said "I want you to marry me" and Beth said "What?" After I repeated my words she said "OK!"
I'm very happy to say Happy Birthday, Joel! He turns 4 years old today. He told his dad Jonathan that he would like me to wear hearts, so we've settled on my Hershey's Kisses tie!
