30 November 25

The theme for the First Sunday in Advent is HOPE. I hope you can enjoy this tie featuring Winnie-the-Pooh and Tigger, looking forward to Christmas with the words "Time For A Little Holiday Something"!

I am challenging myself to share lots of Advent/Christmas ties between now and Epiphany. I may wear some just long enough to take my photos! I hope you will have a good holiday "something."

Today our family is having a very special early Christmas party for one of our grandchildren! My best party Christmas tie is this one, featuring Winnie-the-Pooh and Tigger with bright lights and presents. The words say "Time For A Little Holiday Something"!

For my last Monday at work . . . "Time for a little holiday something" -- with Pooh and Tigger and presents and lights and holly.

Winnie-the-Pooh and Tigger are here to help celebrate the holidays! Today our Information Technology division is having a holiday luncheon, followed by a "white elephant" gift exchange. It's definitely "Time for a Little Holiday Something."

29 November 21

For this first Monday in Advent 2021, I've chosen my Winnie-the-Pooh-and-Tigger tie, with words that say "Time For A Little Holiday Something." So it's appropriate for Advent or Christmas or Hanukkah or Kwanzaa or Festivus or any celebration!

Happy New Church Year! It's Year B in the triennial lectionary cycle. The first Sunday in Advent is celebrated with the Candle of Hope, also traditionally connected with Prophecy. My tie shows Winnie-the-Pooh and Tigger ready to have "Time For A Little Holiday Something," with presents, ornaments, colored lights, holly sprigs and snowflakes. Today we have decorated with a few window candles but more somethings will show up soon.

18 December 19

For the last work day of 2019, I have chosen to wear my Winnie-the-Pooh Christmas tie, with Pooh and Tigger and wrapped presents and holiday lights and the words "Time for a Little Holiday Something." The phrase is not from A. A. Milne's books but is clearly Pooh-esque, and is featured on many products from the Disney company. As a special surprise I got to eat lunch at McDonald's® with Mallie's first-grade class!

This wonderful Pooh tie bears (haha) the words "Time For A Little Holiday Something." It originally belonged to Allan Durand Stephens (1940-2010), well known band teacher from Model Lab School and personal friend of many years at Richmond First United Methodist Church.
