Yesterday (31 March) marked the birthday of French philosopher René Descartes (1596-1650). He is most famous for his argument that "I think, therefore I am." The sign on my office door says "I think, therefore I am overqualified." I hope my tie featuring "The Thinker" sculpture by Auguste Rodin will cause you to reflect on the power of thinking!
