It's the penultimate day of National Tie Month! (I received a notification that "penultimate" is the Word of the Day for 30 December.) It's staying very cold in central Kentucky, so the snowmen on my red tie are very happy, and so are their red and yellow bird companions!

Today marks the 70th anniversary of the premiere of the "Frosty the Snowman" song, and the 51st anniversary of the TV special. My tie for this second-last workday for 2020 has lots of frosty snowflakes and well-adorned snowpeople, along with friendly yellow and red birds. Our own weather is cold and wet, with snow in the forecast for later this week.

For her birthday celebration today, Beth Kleppinger selected my red snowman tie, which includes an electronic chip that chirps "Jingle Bells." Beth is very happy that the snow that arrived on Friday has lasted until today!

Also noted -- yesterday I wore another snowpeople tie, to celebrate the snow.
