Today (5 January) is the Twelfth Day of Christmas! According to PNC, the total cost for all twelve gifts is $51,476.12. But that figure counts each gift just once, not the hefty accumulation you might expect over the twelve days. My very long tie shows all of the gifts!

Winter storm "Blair" is covering us up in central Kentucky with lots of snow, with sleet and freezing rain promised for tonight. Se we are staying in to celebrate the Twelfth Day of Christmas! And I have a NEW TIE to show -- covered with the traditional gifts! The twelve drummers and eleven pipers are actually all knotted up, so I'm getting a lot of banging and fluting near my throat. Our house bear "Drummond" is especially pleased to be with me today!
