Two of my eight grandchildren were born on 3 April, in 2017 (Paul Robert) and 2022 (Dana Rose)! My tie shows a cascade of Mallie, Nate and Paul, created when Paul was a newborn.

This Thanksgiving Day I'm especially thankful for my family, all local in Madison County, Kentucky. My tie stars my three "original grandchildren," with five more added since then!

This is "Young Readers Day" and so I'm wearing my tie that features three wonderful young readers in my own family! The image cascading across the tie captures Mallie, Nate and Paul from five years ago. Three more of my eight grandchildren are very close to joining that club.

Happy Easter! I'm helping to celebrate a very special 4th birthday for Paul Robert Wallace Kleppinger, yesterday. Our family has a party today! My tie's cascade is based on a triptych of Mallie, Nate and Paul from mid-2017.

I have found few genuine occasions for the last days of November, which makes it a perfect time for me to wear some ties that need to be shown! Today's tie features Mallie, Nate and Paul Kleppinger as they were in June 2017. I'd better wear this tie again soon, because all three are growing up fast.

On this date in 1858, John Landis Mason of Philadelphia, PA, received a patent for the Mason canning jar. I have no tie to mark that historical event, so I'll take this chance to wear this great tie featuring my happy grandchildren Mallie, Nate and Paul. I know it's the third time I've worn it since June but I don't care.

Today is National Grandparents Day! I was honored to have lunch with my three grandchildren. My tie displays a cascading photo of them, a few months ago. Mallie is now 4, Nate is nearly 2-1/2, and Paul is 5 months old. I am also remembering my own Kleppinger grandparents! I will add a photo of them when I find it. My York grandfather died before I knew him, but he held me when I was an infant.

According to some calendars, this is the day in 1284 when the "Pied Piper" lured 130 children out of Hamelin, Germany, after the city officials reneged on promises to pay him for removing rats. That legend can be traced only to highly obscure historical facts. My own thoughts about playful children frequently turn to Mallie, Nate and Paul, who are featured on this new cascading-photo tie, which Beth created recently with the help of York Photo.
