Today I started with a celebration of National Nude Day, for a very private shower. At this time last year I wore a "tape measure tie" to honor the patenting (in 1868) of the spring-click tape measure. This year I'm taking the chance to wear these bold horizontal stripes, not shown since July 2019. I think their colors (red, yellow, white and dark green on navy blue) resemble a national flag, but I haven't found one that matches that combination well. The closest ones seem to be Zimbabwe, South Africa, Ethiopia and Mauritius. Of course the red, white and blue can be tied to today's celebrations in France of Bastille Day (from 1789).
