Yesterday I was busy with an important celebration. Today I can recapture yesterday's honor as Simplicity Day, marking the birthday of Henry David Thoreau (1817-1862). From his life at Walden Pond, he learned the great virtue of following simplicity: "Every morning was a cheerful invitation to make my life of equal simplicity, and I may say innocence, with Nature herself." In the spirit of Simplicity Day, I'm wearing a solid navy tie on a pastel blue shirt!
