The chroniclers at National Day Calendar invented the idea of celebrating one state every week, beginning with Delaware and cycling through the states by their order of admission, and starting nine or ten days after Independence Day. That way they conclude with Hawai’i in late June. Anyway, yesterday (20 July) gets the honor of Pennsylvania Day (my home state). I was gifted with this tie several years ago by my Mom Wilma Wollenweber because it has the colors of the PA state seal (in the background on the logo).
