24 March 21

Yesterday we learned that our mostly-black cat Gizmo's health conditions have dramatically worsened, and so we will be helping him "cross the Rainbow Bridge" early next week. Gizmo came into our family through being rescued from Cincinnati streets by Jack Lang and Emily Carr, and came to us in early 2019 when they could no longer keep him. He has FIV (similar to HIV in humans) and is diabetic. I have given him insulin twice a day since last February, but his blood glucose has never been well controlled. He is a friendly cat who seeks me out all the time for his special (wet) food. Today's tie-full-of-cats includes one near the top who has a black-and-white face. My shirt is green for Gizmo's eyes. He does not like cameras. The photo of me and Gizmo is from Dr. Seuss Day last year.
