On this date in 1993, the nuclear physics lab CERN granted Tim Berners-Lee public rights to the network protocols for "the World Wide Web." As a result, the Web is truly free for all! This is a great day to celebrate the free-for-all that we know as the Internet. My tie shows Looney Tunes® characters jumping through lines of text strings like URLs and other computer-ish icons.
