Yesterday, 3-14 or 3.14 (Saturday), was Pi Day! So today I'm filling in with my π tie. In case you need a reminder, π is the irrational number that is best known as the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter. But it
shows up all over statistics, physics, astronomy, music, acoustics -- it's one of the fundamental constants for virtually every repeating pattern we can observe, and so it is also very philosophical. The bonus photo documents the toilet paper aisle at Walmart yesterday, during the Great Coronavirus Pandemic of 2020.
