Two years ago the sponsors of National Day Calendar used the near-correlation of 50 states and 52 weeks in a year to construct a sequence of "State Days," beginning the week after Independence Day and following the order of admission to the Union. So 13 July is National Delaware Day, 20 July is National Pennsylvania Day, and so on. I'm wearing a tie found by Beth's mom that honors my home state of Pennsylvania, where the bold letters PA form a window over the state seal.
