Today is the birthday of composer Robert Schumann (1810), and it's also the first of four Sundays when my wife Beth is playing organ at Nicholasville Presbyterian Church. The curling staves on this tie are also vaguely appropriate for the birthday of Francis Crick (1916), who unwound the helical structure of DNA in 1953 along with Rosalind Franklin and James Watson.

Note added 8 July: Obviously I like this tie; I didn't see that it was repeated from 4 May.
