When someone gives you a pink tie covered with ruby(?)-studded white horseshoes, there's an automatic obligation to find an occasion to wear it. Today is the 98th anniversary of the formation of the National Horseshoe Pitchers Association of America! It was preceded by the National League of Horseshoe and Quoit Pitchers which originated on 26 February 1919.
