The fourth of October is the Feast of St. Francis, patron saint of animals, archaeologists, ecology, Italy, merchants, messengers and metal workers. It is also celebrated as World Animal Day. My tie is covered with rose windows and medallions with images of large birds, a tiger and maybe a mongoose.
