23 April 18

23 April is celebrated annually as English Language Day, selected by the United Nations because it is traditionally the birthday and the death-day of William Shakespeare (1564-1616). I'm wearing my Pendleton® tartan plaid tie to remind us all about Macbeth, King of Scotland (around 1040-1057), and the tragedy Shakespeare created around his life and death. This tartan comes close to the designs known as Lennox Modern and Macrae Red Modern, displayed at the Tartan Finder page from the Scotland Shop.
