According to some calendars, this is the day in 1284 when the "Pied Piper" lured 130 children out of Hamelin, Germany, after the city officials reneged on promises to pay him for removing rats. That legend can be traced only to highly obscure historical facts. My own thoughts about playful children frequently turn to Mallie, Nate and Paul, who are featured on this new cascading-photo tie, which Beth created recently with the help of York Photo.
