Today is noteworthy as the birthday of Alan Alexander Milne (1882-1956), and so I'm taking the opportunity to debut this nice tie featuring Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet. (It came to me from the collection of Robert F. Wollenweber!) But I must also recognize and document the significant and memorable event in 1779 when Peter Mark Roget was born (or came forth) in London. His personal interest in words eventuated in the 1852 publication of the Thesaurus of English Words and Phrases. Perhaps you can design or formulate an appropriate, relevant way to celebrate or carouse or make whoopee to remember and honor this word-collector and lexicographer!
