25 May 16

Happy Towel Day! Don't Panic! Today honors Douglas Adams, archivist for the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and the series of related books and TV episodes. It was first celebrated in 2001, two weeks after Adams' death (to give his worldwide friends time to prepare their towels). Your towel "is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have," and that's good to remember when your planet is about to be destroyed by Vogons and you can escape by hitchhiking on their spaceship. Read more about the importance of your towel at http://towelday.org/faq/index.html#whytowel. We created my towel tie two years ago.
