To honor his 30th birthday (yesterday), Ben chose my "DNA" tie for me to wear today. Its design is based on the results of gel electrophoresis, where the fragments of a DNA molecule get "stretched out" so that the sequence of amino acids can be analyzed. I'm very proud to have contributed half of Ben's DNA!
