Gesundheit! (which means "Good Health!") Today marks the birthday of Hunter "Patch" Adams, born in 1945. He became famous for his promotion of alternative medical therapies that emphasize the roles of humor and compassion. He and his staff at the Gesundheit Institute often wear clown costumes -- especially red ball noses -- when visiting patients. I think "Patch" would enjoy my patchwork quilt tie.
