Happy Almost-Summer-Solstice Day! Summer begins officially sometime tonight, 1:04 a.m. EDT (Friday) which is 11:04 p.m. MDT and 10:04 p.m. PDT (Thursday). So both today and tomorrow have daylight for 14 hours, 48 minutes, 30 seconds at my location. Today's chess board tie has no apparent connection to the solstice -- I just like this gift from my good friend and colleague Charles Woolum!
