I am not Korean, but this tie helps me celebrate "International Mother Language Day" on behalf of all Koreans. This is a day designated by the United Nations to honor the rich historical and cultural importance of so-called "native" languages. Mine is "American English," with roots tracing back to several ancient languages, but with a distinctive history of only the last 300 years.
