This is the sad 9th anniversary of "Shock and Awe," the horrific shelling of Baghdad and other locations in Iraq, signaling the opening of the (second) war in Iraq. In March 2003 I was among those actively protesting this violent horror. It was perpetrated by the US military through the direct orders of President Bush, who offered a completely bogus justification for the attack based on "intelligence" which he and his administration knew to be false. I will never forget, and I will continue to work for Peace.
