Some occasions to note: (1) January is "Tubers and Dried Fruit Month"; (2) January 8 is the birthday of Elvis Presley (1935-1977) -- but I have no velvet tie; (3) January 8-14 is "Universal Letter-Writing Week." My non-velvet tie celebrates all kinds of nutritious foods, including some tubers and dryable fruits, and I have already written my thank-you note for this gift. Does posting on a blog constitute writing a universal letter?
