Happy Birthday, Jonathan Albert Kleppinger! Also, Happy Bahamian Emancipation Day! Jonathan and Courtney brought this tie, featuring the flag of The Bahamas, back from a recent Mission Discovery trip. The birthday boy agreed that this was a great way to celebrate today. In The Bahamas, the first Monday in August marks the emancipation of slaves in the British Colonies in 1834. The main party is called the “Junkanoo Rush-Out.”
