19 June 11

It's Father's Day! And so I get to pick whatever tie I want to wear. I happen to want to wear a tie to honor the birthday on Friday of artist M. C. Escher (1898-1972), whose worlds-within-worlds designs with disorienting gravitation are always captivating. Friday was also the birthday of John Wesley (1703-1791), and my uncle Wilson Miller (1925-2011). I can also use today to celebrate the wedding anniversaries of my nephews/nieces Joseph and Kirsten Caminiti (today, in 1993) and David and Heidi Huizenga (yesterday, in 1994).
