Preserve this somewhere in your personal memory archives: May 18 is International Museum Day! It is sponsored annually by the International Council of Museums, but they don't explain why they chose May 18. My tie is from the Metropolitan Museum of Art store, and it features sunbursts and several patterns based around calendars.
