Today is the International Day of Peace, as proclaimed by the United Nations. My own life is quite peaceful but there are millions of people who live in conditions of constant danger and turmoil. We try to help by changing our buying habits to include "Fair Trade" products wherever possible. We support organizations like Mission Discovery, Habitat for Humanity, Bread for the World and the Heifer Project. They have small successes, but the challenges are nearly overwhelming.
