Today is "Meaning of 'Is' Day," designated as a good time to contemplate the meaning of existence. Nobody seems to know why August 17 would be selected, but it happens to fall one day after David Haskins' birthday, and when I invited him to choose my tie for today, he exercised his existential freedom to select Rodin's Thinker.
