Today the weather forecast says we'll get our first real snow of the winter (70% probability, up to one inch). My tie was a Christmas gift from Amanda Wheeler and it even plays "Jingle Bells"!















(I also discovered that my entry for 12 January is inaccurate. Those who still follow the Julian calendar actually celebrate New Year's Eve today, and New Year's Day tomorrow. I'm sure they have some excellent reasons for maintaining unconventional traditions, and I'm glad for any reason to wear my brilliantly hot pink tie.)
