19 August 08

Today is my first appropriate occasion to wear my "Norton" tie, presented to me for my birthday back on August 4. Yesterday was a tieless vacation day, so today we're celebrating the August 18, 1969 birthday of Edward Norton, an actor best known to me from his role as Steve Frazelli (the traitor) in the 2003 movie The Italian Job. (Aside from the woven pattern of the word "Norton," the only other major identifying feature of the tie is the phrase "The PRESIDENT" on the sewn label. We haven't discovered any President Nortons yet, although we know about one Emperor, whose memory will be celebrated by me in January.)
