The adventures for Harry at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry began on his eleventh birthday, which is dated as 31 July 1991. So as of today, Harry Potter is 43 years old. By coincidence, author J. K. Rowling's birthday is also 31 July, in 1965, so she is now 58. My tie carries the coat-of-arms of the Gryffindor House at Hogwarts.
